About Cynergy ISAC
CYNERGY ISAC is the first national level ISAC, dedicated to the Energy/Electricity industry from Romania.
CYNERGY-ISAC is a strong and trustworthy sharing community, that can easily provide useful knowledge and support to members, when facing cyber security threats.
This project is co-financed by the Connecting Europe Facility of the European Union.

Cyber Security Exercise – Operation “Summer Thunder”, June 2023
For two days, between June 14 and 15 this year, within the Cynergy ISAC project, a number of 26 specialists participated in Operation Summer Thunder, the first hands-on Red Team – Blue Team exercise, organized for the Energy sector in Romania.
April 2023, Training and Conference
Between the 24th and 28th of April 2023, Cynergy-ISAC organized their 2nd national level conference for the Romanian Energy sector. The event was awaited with great interest, managing to attract more than 70 specialists from the private and public sectors.
“Cybersecurity and AI in healthcare sector”
On March 23rd, Cosmin Anghel, Chairman of Cynergy-ISAC, discussed the advantages of a sectoral ISAC at the “Cybersecurity and AI in the Healthcare Sector” conference in Iasi. The event was organized by the CITT MAVIS center.
First Cynergy-ISAC Conference
On the 21st of September, Cynergy-ISAC organized its first conference, which was attended by representatives from most of the Romanian energy companies. They came to learn more about this initiative. The event was organized with the support of the Romanian Directorate for Cyber Security and the SANS Institute.

Impact of Cynergy ISAC
Cynergy Mission
Cynergy mission is to develop a national analysis and sharing center for the energy sector with the potential to expand to South-East Europe. The constituents are among the most important players in the energy sector. This action will improve the cybersecurity cooperation between the constituents at national and European level.
Deliverables
Besides offering a good place for cooperation and community building, Cynergy will offer the underlying technical infrastructure that can facilitate the exchange of cybersecurity information. Based on the types of information to be shared, an easy to use solution will be available to members.
Task Forces
Cynergy – ISAC uses Malware Information Sharing Platform (MISP) to establish a trusted environment where relevant information regarding cyber incidents, vulnerabilities, attack campaigns and mitigation techniques from the energy sector can be shared with and to those responsible for the protection of this sector.
